Activities
More than just offroading! A day with Xtreme Offroad gives you the chance to experience the widest range of offroading activities. Whether it is the first time you have been offroad, or you want to build on previous visits, the wide variety of terrain on our site offers a changing and challenging driving experience. Although exciting and challenging, our activities are suitable for all adults. Many of our vehicles have power steering calling upon your driving skill and ability and not your brute strength! Once you’ve finished driving, we can also continue your day with a range of other outdoor activities on our site or close by in the Mendip hills. Take a look through the activity listings to see the range of options available. Specific Requirement? If you have a specific activity in mind which we don’t list, then please contact us. We are part of the Active Mendip Group - a forum of organisations offering activity events in the Mendips, allowing us to access specialist activities from other trusted and reputable local companies.
Meet the Xtreme Team ...
Matt Smith:

Matt (Bossman) has always been happier off-road than on.
In 1999, he formed Xtreme Offroad with the intention of turning his hobby into his business.
With over 15 years experience and a natural ability to pass-on his knowledge, Matt heads our team of 15 off-road instructors as well as designing challenging new courses for both the novice and experienced driver.
When he's not instructing or designing he's usually ensuring that our vehicles are kept up together and modifying or building new ones!
Outside of his day to day work, Matt spends time with his wife and daughter and when time allows, competes in quad enduros on his race prepared Honda 450.

Julian Sayer:

Julian (Jules) joined Xtreme Offroad in 2004 to head up the Sales and Marketing function and allow Matt to focus on his core skills.
Julian's background was leading sales teams in the IT industry and more recently running his own Sales and Marketing consultancy.
Sharing a passion with his young son for outdoor adventure and Motorsport, Julian saw the move to Xtreme Offroad as an opportunity to combine his business skills and experience with his passion for the outdoors and help Matt create the leading Off-road centre in the South West.
When time allows, Julian spends time with his wife and teenage children enjoying other aspects of the outdoor life afforded through living in the shadow of the wonderful Mendip hills.

Chris Homer:

Chris (Tin tin) initially joined Xtremeoffroad as our book-keeper (he likes a challenge!).
Having proved his worth over time, we invited him to join the sales team and take care of the retail side of our expanding business along with overall responsibility for event co-ordination.
Chris has refined our procedures and freed up Jules's time to focus on our Business prospects and supplier relationships.
Outside of his work with Xtreme, he likes to fish and play golf (we're not sure about this) and is about to become a dad for the first time (bang goes the fishing and golf then).

Chaze Melluish:

Chaze (Chav) came on board in 2007 to assist Matt with instruction and vehicle maintenance.
When he's not doing that he spends his time in yellow wellie boots rescuing people from the Bristol channel with those brave chaps the RNLI.
With a young family he doesn't get time for much else!

Steve Sayer:

Steve (the boy) basically does everything we don't want to do - just like we had to when we were his age!
Problem is that he rides and drives better than us - that's why he gets to do the grotty jobs!
